Table 1: Mandatory Components: Providing Values

Component Specifies Restrictions
Share name A name (up to 20 alphanumeric characters) for the shared printer. 

This is the name that domain users use to set up a connection to the printer.

Must be unique. Cannot be the same name as the Tru64 UNIX queue name. Do not use any of the following as a share name:
COMM       PRINT
DEV        QUEUES
MAILSLOT   SEM
1PIPE      SHAREMEM
Device name The name by which Tru64 UNIX software recognizes the printer.    Can point to more than one printer.  Separate multiple printer name entries with a comma.

Table 2: Optional Components: Providing Values

Component Specifies Restrictions
Users The maximum number of users who can simultaneously access the share.                      
Unlimited The maximum number of users who can simultaneously access the share based on the number of licenses.  Can not exceed the number of ASU licenses.
Remark A comment about the share. Remark must be enclosed in quotation marks.
