Two separate problems exist with new USB hardware:

  1. The new HP Server Console Switch using USB (part number 336044-B21)

    A mouse attached to the new KVM does not work properly under Tru64 V5.1B-2/PK4. Specifically, there is no movement along the X-axis.
  2. The new rackmounted TFT5600 using USB (part number 221546-001)

    The right mouse button on the trackball portion of this product does not work.

    Note that this is a problem specific to two-button mice, of which the trackball on the TFT5600 is the only example at present


These problems affect GS1280/ES80/ES47 class systems with the specified USB hardware running

HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B-2/PK4

HP is releasing the following Early Release Patch kit (ERP) publicly for use by any customer. The ERP kit uses dupatch to install and will not install over any Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) that have file intersections with the ERP.

The fixes contained in the ERP kit are scheduled to be available in the following mainstream patch kits:
