A problem occurs in HP Tru64 UNIX 5.1B-3 where a panic can result when the Redundant Array of Independent Network Adapters (NetRAIN) performs an interface switch. The panic is a result of an uninitialized variable within the switching code. The panic stack trace will show the panic arising from the routine netrain_switch().

HP is releasing the following Early Release Patch kit (ERP) publicly for use by any customer. This ERP kit uses dupatch to install and will not install over any Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) that have file intersections with the ERP.

The fixes contained in this ERP kit is scheduled to be available in the following mainstream patch kit:
