A potential issue has been reported with the secure copy functionality of ssh (scp2 or sftp2) provided in HP Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1B-3. Under certain circumstances, scp2 or sftp2 can copy files incorrectly.

HP has addressed this potential issue by providing the Early Release Patch (ERP) identified in the Downloadble Solutions section of this Engineering Advisory.

Target Audience: Customers using the the secure copy functionality of ssh (scp2 or sftp2) on HP Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1B-3

HP is releasing the following Early Release Patch kit (ERP) publicly for use by any customer. The ERP kit use dupatch to install and will not install over any Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) that have file intersections with the ERP. The fixes contained in the ERP kits are targeted to be available in the following mainstream patch kit:
