HP-UX 11i: measurably better TCO!
 Advisory Information

RELEASE DATE: 2006-07-18

When attempting to delete a BL25 or BL26 CSP using the dupatch() interactive menu, entries may not be correctly displayed causing inability to remove a particular CSP. Either multiple entries are seen for a CSP or some CSPs might not be listed though they are installed. The csps can still be deleted using command line option of dupatch.

For example to delete a CSP 752.00 created for the Tru64 UNIX operating system product, use the following syntax:

dupatch -delete -name "Rani" -note "command line deletion" \ -patch C752.00 -product TRU64_UNIX_V5.1B

The following versions are affected:

  • HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B-3
  • HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B-2/PK4

HP is releasing the following ERP kits publicly for use by any customer. The kits use dupatch to install and will not install over any Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) that have file intersections with the ERP..

The fixes contained in the ERP kit are  available in the following mainstream patch kit:

HP Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1B-4
